With the aim to offer the “real taste” of Crete to its guests, in 2018 the resort continued to prefer local products of Crete and Greece, contributing thereby to the local economy of Crete and the National economy of the country. Moreover, by implementing this purchasing policy, it succeeded to empower for one more year local traders and shops.
During 2018, Creta Maris contributed to Crete’s local market by purchasing:

- 100% Local Yogurt
- 99% Local Water
- 94% Local Olive Oil
- 91% Greek Sweets
- 83% Local Bread - Bakery Products
- 83% Local Fresh Meat
- 82% Local Fresh Vegetables
- 79% Local Wine - Sparkling Wine - Champagne
- 68% Local Ice Cream
- 62% Local Frozen Meat
- 61% Local Nuts - Dried Fruits
- 60% Local Cheese
- 59% Local Marmalades - Honey
Generally, our purchases’ rates for the year 2018 were:
- Crete 42,84%
- Greece 24,05%
- Import 33,11%
Which means that we have contributed to the national and local economies with 2.029.873,46 euros.
