From Morning Light to Late Drinks
There’s something different about waking up at Creta Maris.
I step out onto the balcony and notice how calm everything feels. Not silent — just… easy. The kind of calm that makes you slow down without thinking about it.
It Starts With a Coffee
Breakfast is already happening when I get there.
I take my coffee and sit facing the sea.
Around me, the day unfolds in its own way. Some guests head straight to the beach, towels already in hand. Others stay a little longer, going back for one more plate, one more coffee.
Families gather near the pools — kids already excited, moving faster than the morning allows. A couple nearby barely speaks, just sitting together, looking out at the water.
There’s movement everywhere, but nothing feels rushed.
I take my time. Another coffee. And then I decide to move.

A Little Further, A Little Quieter
Instead of heading to the main beach, I walk a little further.
Plakoura feels different. More secluded, a bit more untouched. The waves break softly against the rocks, filling the space with a steady, grounding rhythm.
I go in.
The water is cooler here, deeper somehow. When I come back out, I sit on the rocks for a while, letting the sun do the rest.
From here, I can see the central beach — people swimming, laughing, moving between the sea and the bars. It feels more alive there. Here, it’s quieter.
Both exist at the same time.
And that’s when it hits me — you don’t have to choose one version of the day. You just move between them.
Not Quite Lunch
By the time I leave the beach, I’m not really hungry — just enough to want something light.
I’ve already made dinner reservations. I’ve actually been trying a different à la carte restaurant every night — there are too many to miss.
So instead of a full lunch, I keep it simple.
I stop by Kritamo Salad Bar and put together something fresh and light. Crisp vegetables, a bit of olive oil — exactly what I need after the sea. Just enough to reset without taking away from what’s coming later.
Then, without overthinking it, I decide to slow things down a little more.

I Let the Day Pause
I head to the Spa.
I go for a wellness massage, and somewhere along the way, I completely lose track of time.
By the end of it, I feel lighter. Calmer. Like the day has shifted into something slower without me even noticing.
Something to Look Forward To
Dinner is something I’ve been looking forward to.
Tonight, I’m heading to Alatsi — and I’m glad I booked it in advance. It’s one of those places you don’t want to miss.
Right by the sea, with the sound of the waves always there in the background.
The menu leans into Greek flavours — simple, balanced, focused on the ingredients. Fresh fish, clean tastes, dishes that don’t try too hard.
I take my time.
No one rushes you. Courses come and go, conversations stretch, the light slowly fades.
At some point, you stop thinking about what you’re eating and just… enjoy being there.

The Night Picks Up
After dinner, I’m not quite ready to call it a night.
I walk a little further and end up at Adama Adults Only Cocktail Bar.
It’s different here at night. More energy, more movement. People gathered around the bar, drinks in hand, conversations flowing a little louder now. The music carries through the space without taking over.
I order a cocktail — something cold, fresh — and stand for a bit before settling in.
There’s a rhythm to it. People coming and going, groups forming, laughter cutting through the music. It’s not overwhelming — just… alive.
You can stay as long as you want. Or move on to whatever the night brings next.
That’s what a day at Creta Maris really feels like.
You plan parts of it — a dinner here, a massage there — but in between, everything flows on its own.
From slow mornings to laid-back afternoons and evenings that build into something more vibrant, the day never stays the same.
And somehow, that’s exactly what makes it work.
